The start of something new

All of the FOCUS Apprentices at Orientation!

Another summer comes to an end with the start of something new! I cannot believe that the FOCUS apprenticeship is already here, and it all has officially started! These next ten months will be filled with times of excitement, learning, and tons of growth. I will be taking classes, meeting with apprentices and staff members to plan campus events, and engaging with students to share about the life of Christ and what it looks like to follow Him.

We started off our apprenticeship with our annual staff retreat at a ranch in Whitewright, TX. It was a time to relax but also prepare our hearts for the work ahead of us. We spent time worshiping, encouraging one another, and simply laughing and having fun together. It is hard to explain in words how deeply loved I already feel by the FOCUS staff and how everyone reminds me of family.

I am so excited about this next season and would ask you to pray for my heart, that it would be open and laid out for God to work and change it to better reflect Jesus. Also pray for the students at Texas Woman's University in Dallas, that their hearts would be open to friendship and ultimately to Jesus and that they would eagerly desire to know Him as their Father. Lastly, pray for our student leaders at TWU Dallas, that they would be filled with boldness and energy as they sacrificially serve our college students while going to school full-time and some even working!

Thank you so much for your prayers and financial support. You have an important role and are making ministry at TWU Dallas this year possible.

Please pray for the student leaders and staff as we enter this next year! And please pray for me that I may trust in the goodness and faithfulness of our God!

Love,
