Summer is Here! June Updates
Hello friends! I hope you all are enjoying your summer and soaking up this sun!
Thank you all again for your generous support and investment in campus ministry! It really wouldn't be possible for me to be on SMU and TWU Dallas without your commitment and passion for campus ministry!
I don't know about you guys but I have no idea where June went! There has been so much that has happened and so much of it is so exciting and praiseworthy! Probably the biggest event this month was SICM, our Student Institute of Campus Ministry conference in Bellingham, WA. This is a near two-week conference where we bring students to Western Washington University to partner with a campus ministry called CCF, Campus Christian Fellowship. Here, our students learn how to do evangelism, do one on one discipleship, learn how to lead a small group and how to cultivate spiritual friendships. And furthermore, why doing these things are so important! In short, they catch a powerful vision for campus ministry and how they play so vital of a role in making disciples on our college campuses. The conference is packed with classes, worship, connecting with students from all over the U.S. and getting to experience some of the gorgeous beauty of the pacific northwest!
This is one of the most important things we do because we believe that at the heart of Jesus' ministry was equipping his disciples to go out and make more disciples. And if we can do that for our college students, just think of the impact they will have as they go out into the world after they graduate as powerful leaders for Christ that will do amazing things for God!

Our SMU student, Amanda, who came to SICM shared with me one night how excited she was about getting back to SMU to share Christ with others and to take part in growing our FOCUS community! She had caught the vision of why campus ministry is so powerful and wanted to be a part of it! This is one of our biggest goals for SICM and it was so cool to see the Holy Spirit working in Amanda all week and getting her so excited to share her faith and love for Jesus with others.

In addition to learning about how to do college ministry, we also had so much fun enjoying beautiful Washington! Check out some of the pictures showing how much our students enjoyed being outdoors and exploring all the amazing things God created!

I want to invite you guys to be praying for SMU and TWU Dallas as we get closer to starting the school year and that God would already be at work in the hearts of students we will meet. I also want to invite you to pray for our upcoming apprentices for this next year as they are fundraising!
