Quarantine can't stop Community-April Updates

Hello everyone! I hope that you all are staying safe and finding ways to use this time for the best!
I know for me personally, while this time has been weird, hard and not always fun, I do really believe I have seen God working through it in so many ways-both in my life and the lives of those around me.

Thank you for all of you who have continued to pray for students, especially during this time. I have been so encouraged and blown away but how readily students want to continue meeting with one another and encouraging one another in Christ, despite the difficult circumstances. Even though students are on virtual calls for much of the day already, they still are willing to spend more time on a screen for the purpose of fulfilling the mission to make and mature disciples. One student asked in one of our TWU cores (small groups) what would happen when the semester ended and if we could continue to meet together over the summer and I think I almost started to cry lol! I think her question represents the heart of many of our students and I am so grateful to be part of the work that God is doing in their lives and within our community at large. Check out some pictures below of us meeting together!

As the semester transitions into the summer, we will be continuing most of our ministry virtually until we hear further advisement from local government. This Thursday, we are starting our summer Thursday Night Fellowship and using Zoom to help our students connect in smaller groups for more intimate discussions! We will be starting our weekly summer cores for SMU and TWU Dallas virtually over Zoom in the next week. I am so excited for these opportunities for our students to continue to meet and would encourage you to find ways to still virtually connect with your community and those you love. If this time has taught me anything, it's that relationships are the biggest gift we are given in our lives. And they are worth investing in.

As many of you also know, I have continued to work as a nurse during this time. And while I could say a lot about how hard things are right now, I really want to take the time to express how grateful I am for how generous and gracious people have been to me and the healthcare community as a whole. The amount of food, fresh meals, hair coverings and sweet texts I have received is just a small reflection of God's sweet sweet love for us that he shows through those around us. Thank you to all who have blessed me and other healthcare workers and also for my fellow nurses who work faithfully and sacrificially for others.

This cap was made by the amazing Tana Worsham! I love her!

Before I wrap up I wanted to share just a few quick things!

Our Plano church plant has continued to meet during this time and it's one of the many things I have seen God continue to work through DESPITE being in quarantine and distanced physically from one another. Social distancing can't stop the Spirit!! Check out a picture of us meeting over Zoom for Easter!
Also in exciting news, Albert and I have finished Pre Engagement counseling and are excited for the next step! Please pray for continued wisdom and discernment in our relationship! I also included a picture of an AMAZING social distancing fort that Albert made for one of our dates. I have the best guy ever and I love him so much!

Thank you so much for all your continued support and love, especially during this time. I am praying for all of you and am so blessed to have you doing ministry alongside me through your support! Love you guys!
