March Updates!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend celebrating the beautiful hope we have in Christ!

March has come and gone and we are already in April! I don't know about you, but it feels like time has been flying lately! So much has been happening in ministry and I am excited to share some highlights with you, because it's your support after all that makes it possible!

Thank you to everyone who tuned into Spring Showcase this past Saturday! Even though the event was virtual this year, it was so good you all were SO generous! We raised over 24,000 dollars!! All that money goes towards sending our students to SICM, our Student Institute of Campus Ministry training over the summer. Normally we have this training in Seattle with other campuses from across the country. But because of COVID, SICM in Seattle wasn't possible. But we still wanted a way to equip our student leaders for ministry and living out the values of being a disciple of Christ. So we decided to have our own leadership training at Camp Eagle near San Antonio this August! And because the cost is reduced, we are hoping to send even more students this summer, so that we can come back to our campuses this Fall with a huge team of students, ready to spread the gospel and make disciples! How exciting!!

If you didn't get to give to Spring Showcase this past weekend, you can still give at https://anyfocus.org/showcase/

March has also been filled with so many other awesome things, some of which I shared below in pictures. And while God was and is still moving, I would be remise if I didn't share some of the struggles our students had this semester. Mid terms were stressful for our students and caused a lot of anxiety to creep in. Many students struggled with depression and loneliness, despite having others around them to support them, love them and point them back to Jesus. But despite these and many other hardships, I have seen God work them together for good. In the story of Jospeh in Genesis 50:20 it says, "Don't you see, you planned evil against me but God used those same plans for my good.." Just as God was able to work through the sin and evil of others for Joseph, God is working through our current brokenness and struggles to make something beautiful out of it and that is so good. Please continue to pray for our roots to grow deep into God and be connected with Jesus, the living vine, despite times of hardship.

If there are any ways I can be praying for you or your family, please reach out to me! I am so thankful for each of you, knowing that I don't go out on the college campus alone, but with God's Spirit and a community of believers behind me! Love you all!
